What are the differences in the EGR kits you can choose from?
Standard Kit
The Standard Kit removes the factory EGR system and cooler from your CPNB or CNRB engine.
Included are new silicone coolant hoses, block-off plates, mounting hardware, and hose clamps.
This kit also features two precision CNC-machined solid aluminum components.
The first is our coolant T-valve, this will bypass the factory EGR cooler while retaining the original coolant temperature sensor, unlike inferior kits that eliminate this needed factory sensor. The second is a coolant hose adapter that installs onto the factory plastic coolant flange, extending the outlet and adding a hose barb for a secure coolant hose connection.
Upgraded Kit
The Upgraded Kit includes all of the components and benefits of the Standard Kit, with one significant upgrade.
This kit includes a completely redesigned CNC-machined solid aluminum coolant flange. Our upgraded design features an extended neck with an integrated hose barb, allowing the coolant hose to connect directly to the flange while completely eliminating the failure-prone factory plastic component.
Bulletproof Kit
The Bulletproof Kit includes everything found in the Upgraded Kit, plus additional components for maximum reliability and long-term durability.
In addition to the upgraded solid aluminum coolant flange, this kit includes our redesigned solid aluminum Coolant Control Valve. Unlike the factory plastic version, our design eliminates the internal vacuum-operated shutter valve—a well-known failure point that commonly cracks and causes significant coolant leaks in the engine valley.
To make installation as convenient as possible, the Bulletproof Kit also includes a new oil cooler, OEM intake manifold gaskets, and vacuum block-off caps, providing everything needed to complete the installation with confidence
Available Add-ons
ASV Delete
This add-on removes the factory Anti-Shudder Valve (ASV) and replaces it with our precision CNC-machined solid aluminum delete, improving airflow into the intake for a slight increase in performance while eliminating several common failure points.
One of the most common issues with the factory ASV is the valve seizing in the closed position, restricting airflow and preventing the engine from operating properly until the valve is removed or replaced. In rare but documented cases, the internal butterfly valve can also become loose and be drawn into the engine, potentially resulting in catastrophic engine failure.
Aluminum Oil Filter Housing
Upgrade to our aluminum oil filter housing for the durability and reliability the factory housing should have had from the beginning.
Unlike the factory plastic housing, which can become brittle over time and is prone to warping or cracking, our aluminum housing is built to withstand years of service while helping eliminate common oil leaks associated with the original design.
Each housing comes ready for install with a new Hengst oil filter.
CAT Delete
Upgrade your exhaust system with our mandrel-bent stainless steel CAT Delete Pipe.
This add-on replaces the factory catalytic converter located in the second section of the downpipe with a high-flow, unrestricted pipe, improving exhaust flow for increased performance, quicker turbo response, and enhanced drivability.
