Brand New Midwest Turbo and Performance VNT-17 turbo. These are the OEM turbo on the European 150hp 1.9L TDI equipped Volkswagens. The VNT-17 is an upgrade from the original VNT-15 turbo allowing you to run higher boost levels and, many believe, providing superior durability. These run at 26+ PSI with stage 2 and stage 3 tunes all day long. This is our go to turbo for an easy ALH upgrade without breaking the bank.

VNT-17 ALH Retrofit Information
The VNT-17 bolts directly up to the ALH and uses the same oil feed and return lines, but it requires either a VNT-17 adapter or a clip-connector pipe to connect the compressor with the stock ALH lower intercooler pipe.
1999.5 & Early 2000 owners: you will also need to purchase the later style pancake pipe in addition to the clip connector hose. You may also need a threaded union junction for the oil return line for the 99.5s as well. 1998-2001 owners will also need to purchase an updated style turbocharger bracket.

MWTP warranties its turbos for 12 months from date of purchase, regardless of mileage. Warranty claims are handled on a case-by-case basis, where MWTP determines the cause of failure and whether it's a manufacturing, installation, or operating defect. . MWTP warranty covers self installs, proof of oil and oil filter change needed at the time of install using VW 505.00 oil of any brand. Oil filter brand is of no significance.
